All The Details...

FAQ

Which area of California will we be traveling to?

San Francisco! SFO airport is approximately 20 minutes north of our lodging on the California coast.

What's the vibe?

This Retreat will have more of a campy, intimate feel, with lots of bonding.

Where are we staying?

Our seaside lodge sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The location is perfect for biking, hiking, kayaking, surfing, swimming, and more! Nearly all beds are bunks. Members will have the availability to request a bunk-mate preference. Though preferences are not guaranteed, we will do our best to accomodate all requests.

When will the exact lodging location be released?

Just like prior Retreat's, the exact lodging address will not be released until two weeks prior to the event for the safety and privacy of all our attending members.

What are the dates?

The 2025 Z Retreat will take place June 26th through the 29th.

How do I reserve my spot?

We currently have filled all spots and are working off of the wait list. If an attendee drops, we will offer openings in the order that their name was received.

Disclosures: Members must be 21+ to participate. Only one transaction is allowed per Zeta.

How much does each spot cost?

Each spot will be a total of $250. Deposits are non-refundable, so be sure you can attend before reserving. AfterPay will be available.

Members that reserve a spot and drop out within twelve weeks of the event (anytime after April 3, 2025) will not be permitted to attend the 2026 or 2027 Z Retreat, nor will they receive a refund.

Members that wish to transfer their spot to another member may do so prior to six weeks (May 15, 2025).

What activities will we be doing?

Attendees will immerse themselves in the beauty of California by taking a group trip to Big Basin Redwoods State Park and a Formal event in Napa Valley; in addition to the Alumnae event and Welcome Mixer.

How will transportation work?

Zeta's will be transported together for our two main events: Big Basin & Napa Valley. Any additional transportation for sightseeing will be the responsibility of the individual.

What is the climate like during that time of year?

Reportedly, the average high is 70F and the average low temperature is 53F. You can expect mostly sunny days with a cool breeze, and foggy mornings.

California is known for wildfire's during the summer. In dire circumstances, for the safety of members, we will re-route somewhere safe.

Can we bring a plus one?

This Retreat is limited to Zeta's. No family, friends, husbands, wives, dogs, cats, emotional support manatees, co-workers, cousins twice-removed, etc.

Who is the intern this year?

The sorority has selected two interns: Amber from Iota and Becca formerly of the Eta chapter, but now a member of the Alumnae Association.

Who is the special guest?

Our special guest is Gina Bakey, an OG Zeta from our original chapter at Penn State University!

When will Formal and ticket info be released?

The 2025 Formal will be exclusive to Retreat attendees. We will not be offering a public sale.
